The Yash-led action film Toxic has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark at the worldwide box office within six days of release, according to The Times of India. The movie, which also stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, and Tara Sutaria, saw a significant dip on its first Monday, with collections falling below Rs 10 crore, as reported by Telegraph India.
The film opened to strong numbers over its debut weekend, but the weekday slowdown has drawn attention from trade analysts. The Times of India's live box office tracker confirmed the film's cumulative earnings surpassed Rs 300 crore by Day 6, a figure that includes international markets. However, the Monday drop of roughly 60-70% from the opening day has sparked debate about the film's long-term theatrical run.
Toxic has also become a topic of critical discussion. India Today published a piece suggesting the film was "murdered on the edit table," implying that post-production choices may have hurt the final product. In contrast, the composer of Kantara came to the film's defense, arguing that even a classic like Lagaan would feel "boring" if released in today's fast-paced viewing environment, according to MensXP.
